What are the key ingredients of the AB LAB Shield Lip Balm SPF50+?
- LANOLIN: A naturally-occurring oil found in sheep’s wool. Lanolin is excellent at retaining moisture, preventing water-loss from the skin and keeping lips hydrated. It also helps to create a protective barrier on lips and soften dry skin.
- BEESWAX: A natural substance made by bees to build the walls of honeycomb. Used to thicken formulations, it also helps to create a protective barrier on the lips. It also softens and lubricates the skin.
- COCOA BUTTER: Oil extracted from cocoa beans. Provides antioxidants and soothing hydration.
- SHEA BUTTER: A plant lipid, Shea Butter provides nourishment and smoothing to dry lips. It is a rich source of fatty acids and a source of antioxidants.
- HYALURONIC ACID: A molecule naturally produced by skin, Hyaluronic Acid is a humectant, meaning it promotes the absorption and retention of moisture on the skin. It can help to plump and firm skin, while strengthening the skin barrier.
- VITAMIN E: Vitamin E is naturally occurring on skin, and is an important antioxidant. As an antioxidant, Vitamin E helps to prevent oxidative stress on the skin which can lead to fine lines, wrinkles and a dull complexion. It also provides moisture and soothes stressed skin.
