I Tried the New SkinCeuticals Moisturiser That Helps Reverse the Signs of Ageing

Like most of you, I am a proud, self-confessed 'beauty junkie'.
And in my role as Senior Brand Marketing Manager here at Adore Beauty, I feel so lucky that I get to try a host of amazing beauty products.
As I get older, what I use on my skin has become so important.
I'm all for ageing gracefully, so using products that target my skin concerns as part of my age management routine is crucial.
My main concerns are evening out my skin tone as well as reducing the appearance of dark spots and fine lines.
I love a serum (or three), SPF (of course), a good daytime and nighttime moisturiser, double- cleansing and I have fallen back in love with toner!
I have tried and tested many a product over the years in order to target my concerns - so when I heard of the new and improved SkinCeuticals A.G.E Interrupter, I was SO up for trying it (who wouldn't with the words A.G.E interrupter in it!).
A luxe moisturiser is not a 'must-have', it's more a 'nice to have'.

Does Skinceuticals age interrupter work?
Formulated with a combination of anti-ageing ingredients, this breakthrough cream can smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, helping to address glycation, while delivering 24-hours of hydration.
What is glycation you ask?
It occurs when glucose molecules bind to collagen and elastin fibres, promoting skin wrinkling.
The A.G.E. Interrupter is a potent corrective treatment that’s backed by 15+ years of glycation research and expertise, containing ingredients that are clinically proven to smooth the appearance of visible lines and wrinkles.

Skinceuticals A.G.E. Interrupter Advanced Ingredients.
In a nutshell, this Skinceuticals moisturiser contains all the good things you need to tackle those early signs of ageing and trying to restore some youth!
Here are the the key ingredients:
- 12.6% concentrated proxylane (20% more than the original).
- 4.25% wild fruit flavonoid blend.
- 0.1% new glycyrrhetinic acid.
- 3% HEPES (natural enzymes in the skin to promote even cell turnover while hydrating the skin).
- 1% niacinamide (a great all rounder ingredient particularly good for helping to improve skin texture).
Skinceuticals Age Interrupter How to Use:
I was really keen to make sure I followed the directions for this product to ensure it had the best possible opportunity for my skin.
It's important to note that when using it in the morning (after your Vitamin C serum, I am currently using SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF ) they recommend wearing sunscreen.
At night, it's best to layer this after your retinol.

Now to the good stuff, what did I think?
I typically have a separate cream for morning and night but wanted to make sure I was using this same one both day and night as this is something you can do with this product.
I must admit, I was very surprised by the texture.
It's extremely lightweight. So much so I had to check in with the my team that this was in fact a moisturiser!
This did take me some time to get used to because I have been used to using thicker moisturisers.
There is a scent to it which is slightly fruity but not at all overpowering.
Also you don't need a lot.
One of the really great things with the SkinCeuticals range is that a little goes a long way.
It also absorbs into your skin in an instant - again not something I was used to as I like products that sit on my skin and take their time to absorb.
I did notice a slight tingle in the first couple of days of using the product - which I actually don't mind as it indicates to me that something is working!

Final Verdict...
Having road-tested the product for only a week, I felt I could see some very slight changes to my skin tone and to some of my fine lines.
But I always find my children to be two of the most honest people I know and I asked them if my skin looked any different...
My daughter thought I didn't have as many lines and my son said some of my freckles (i.e pigmentation) had disappeared!
So I am taking that as a win, people!
Of course, it takes more than a week to get noticeable results so I am keen to continue to use this to see the differences it will continue to have on my skin.
