Are these the best Skinstitut products? I can’t answer that, because there are so many good products in their range.

1. Skinstitut Face The Day SPF 50+
What:
Fast facts:
- A high-protection, oil and alcohol-free sunscreen.
- UV absorbing and blue light blocking (helps to protect against skin stress caused by digital pollution.)
- Has an undetectable matte finish.
- Quick-drying, with a light vanilla scent.
- Tinosorb M & S in the formula (provides absorption in the UV light spectrum which can help with the prevention of premature skin ageing.
- Contains humectants that help hold water to the skin to keep it hydrated and conditioned.
- Best for: oily, normal and sensitive skin.
How is the new Skinstitut sunscreen different from Skinstitut Age Defence SPF 50+?
The main differences are that Face The Day has a matte finish, while Age Defence has a dewy finish.
So if you have oilier skin and the thought of a dewy finish SPF puts you off, then Face The Day Skinstitut SPF will be right up your alley.
And while Age Defence is targeted towards dry to very dry skin types and mature skin types, Face The Day is made for normal, oily, sensitive and acne-prone skins.
The biggest drawcard for me when looking for SPFs is formulas that don't leave a white cast.
When you first squeeze this tube, the consistency is thick and looks heavy, but surprisingly, once you massage it into the skin, it doesn't leave your face feeling or looking chalky.
I’ve only been road-testing this SPF for a few weeks, and I know $56 seems steep for an SPF, but a little goes a long way and for me it's the added ingredients inside that are appealing too.
2. Skinstitut Expert Replenish Squalane Cleansing Oil.
What:

- A gentle (but high-performing) cleanser that retains hydration while removing makeup and impurities.
- Will lift excess sebum (oily skin friends rejoice!) while retaining moisture.Has a lightweight oil to milk texture.
- Contains: Squalane (a rich emollient that provides weightless moisture) a blend of nourishing and comforting botanical oils (such as kakadu plum, rosehip and jojoba oils) as well as green tea extract.
If you’re not already using a cleansing oil in your skincare routine firstly read this to convince you why you should, secondly your face is very upset with you.
This is one of my faves; it leaves skin soft, supple and gets all my makeup off without stinging my eyes - brilliant.
If you want a decent cleanser that also leaves skin brighter, this is one to have high on your consideration list.
I truly think this cleansing oil needs a lot more attention and I know it’s "just a cleanser" but I think it’s one of the best Skinstitut products!
3. Skinstitut 10% Niacinamide Power Serum.

I’ve said it once, and I'll sing it every day for the rest of my life: niacinamide is one of my favourite ingredients.
It’s known for being that overachiever that’s kind of good at everything from calming and soothing to helping with uneven skin.
I first started using a standalone niacinamide because I had really textured skin and found it really helped lift my dull skin and make it more smooth.
I’ve been using the Skinstitut niacinamide since it launched last year as part of Skinstitut’s Power Serum range and it’s so good.
With a silky, gel consistency, it applies beautifully on the skin leaving your face instantly plumper and juicier.
The pump packaging is also a big tick for me.

It hydrates! Softens! Protects your skin against pollution! And, gives you an overall more refined and smoother complexion - it’s basically an effective smarty pants.
The skin-boosting ingredients that appealed to me most in its gel-like formula include kakadu plum, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid.
I’ve been loving this one for daily use and paired with the niacinamide has been making my skin more plump and revitalised (as you can see in the picture below).
