In case we haven’t formally met, my name is Anika and I’m the Skincare Marketing Manager here at Adore Beauty.
It’s fair to say that in my role, I’m extremely lucky to be able to try an array of different beauty products and brands.
A little about my skin…
Like many others, my skin goes through its moments and right now we’re riding the eczema wave - probably from the copious amounts of fake tan I use (amongst other things) but hey, we gotta do what we gotta do.
I also battled through pretty significant acne in my early 20’s and went through a stint of Roaccutane so now, I ensure that anything I do to my face isn't going to cause a flare-up.
As a self-confessed
Murad skincare lover, my ears prick up every time they bring out a new product.
So you can imagine my delight when they launched a whole range targeted to my skin concerns
Cue the Murad ExaSoothe Range.
When I heard about Murad bringing out this new range targeted at those with sensitised and eczema-prone skin - it was like music to my ears.
I’m someone with sensitive and stubborn skin that doesn't like to go out of their tried and tested routine, but when I heard about this new range I knew it was a must.
If you’re someone with similar skin concerns, keep scrolling because I road-tested all three of the Murad ExaSoothe products, and am going to share my honest thoughts…
What Is the Murad ExaSoothe Range?
The Murad ExaSoothe Range is designed to help those with irritation-prone and sensitive skin.
They are fragrance-free and are there to essentially aid in any discomfort from dry skin, redness as well as help strengthen the skin barrier.
The two hero products that in my opinion are vital in any irritation-prone skincare routine are the
Murad Soothing Oat & Peptide Cleanser For Face & Eyes 200ml and the
Murad Daily Defense Cream For Face & Eyes 50ml.
Murad ExaSoothe Products.

My Murad ExaSoothe Review.
1. Murad Soothing Oat and Peptide Cleanser.

If you're a diehard Murad fan like me, you may have been left shocked when you could no longer find the much-loved Murad Prebiotic 4-in-1 cleanser BUT I'm here to tell you not to fear because this my friends, is their new and improved cleanser.
Who knew that was even possible?
The packaging has changed, and even better, it's more environmentally friendly.
Fast Facts:
Extremely soothing on the skin PLUS, it's designed to safely cleanse away makeup - an all-in-one. What more could you ask forr?
The addition of the oat extract, a hydrating sugar complex, micellar cleansing peptides and shea butter all work together to replenish a moisture-depleted skin barrier.
Long-lasting value for money.
My Murad Soothing Oat and Peptide Cleanser review:
The first step in your routine is going to set you up for success and let me tell you this cleanser will do just that.
This all-in-one cleanser is able to remove all of your makeup as well as dirt and oils from your face.
One of the changes I found in this cleanser compared to its previous formulation is that this is a slightly thicker consistency however it feels incredibly luxe and soothing on the skin.
And if you have sensitive skin or you're fragrance-averse, don't worry, it's fragrance-free.
Having quite sensitive skin, I find that a lot of cleansers can leave my face quite tight after washing, however this is the complete opposite.
Instead, I'm left feeling hydrated and my skin is ready to absorb the next steps in my routine.
This gentle cleanser is now hands down a staple in my skincare routine.
2. Murad Daily Defense Cream For Face & Eyes.

A daily moisturiser that will help to reduce redness and dryness.
Fast facts:
Restores hydration, locks in moisture and strengthens the skin barrier.
Helps with itchiness caused by skin dryness.
Includes ingredients such as colloidal oatmeal, niacinamide, mondo grass sugars and oat lipids. These help strengthen the skin from the inside to create a more resilient complexion.
Comes in a fantastic airless pump which is easy to use.
Helps with reducing redness.
My Murad Daily Defense Cream review:
Anyone who has sensitive skin or is prone to redness, dryness or eczema will understand this, sometimes your skin just has a 'moment'.
My skin is really having a moment and this has become my go-to for keeping everything in check.
I'm currently experiencing an impaired barrier and I liked the instant soothing effect this moisturiser has on certain areas of my face that are feeling particularly compromised.
Once again this is fragrance-free, which is great for keeping aggravation at bay.
Consistency-wise, it is on the thicker side.
Personally, I'm someone who prefers a lighter moisturiser in the morning and a thicker, nourishing one at night so I can bathe my skin in it and this Daily Defense Cream was able to do exactly that.
This does work great for both morning and nighttime routines.
What I love the most is it's not only going to help my skin in the short term but it's going to set it up for success in the long run too.
3. Murad Quick Relief Moisture Treatment.

The Murad Quick Relief Moisture Treatment For Face, Eyes and Body is truly a product you didn't know you needed.
A treatment that can be used on your face, eyes or body for quick relief from itching, redness and discomfort from dry skin.
Fast facts:
Contains the likes of colloidal oatmeal, ground cherry blend and oat lipids to help soothe discomfort.
Reduces the appearance of redness.
Hydrates and replenishes the skin.
If you are anything like me and you want something to sink in quickly so you can continue on with your day, this is for you.
It is incredibly lightweight and quick-absorbing.
Is fragrance-free.
My Murad Quick Relief Moisture Treatment review:
If you've ever been in the position where you are in need of something to soothe a burning itch or discomfort then this is the product for you.
This treatment is super lightweight and I used it around my eyes as well as on my hands where I experience irritation.
I found that it rapidly soothed that uncomfortable feeling leaving my skin feeling supple and hydrated.
Also, a little bit of product goes a long way!
When we think about cleansers and moisturisers, their main function is to help with and be used for almost everything as part of your consistent, everyday routine.
Whereas this product is what you should consider if you are needing something as a quick relief.
Is it something you typically need to have in your routine everyday?
That will be dependent on what you're experiencing and the relief you're seeking.
Final Verdict.
These soothing skincare products are truly the products I didn't know I needed.
For anyone who has sensitive skin and is prone to irritation, redness or dryness these are an instant add to cart.
