Jas is the former Senior Content Specialist at Adore Beauty. A beauty admirer turned certified addict, she brings a sharp editorial eye and pop-culture pulse to everything she creates. Her words have appeared in The Age, Sydney Morning Herald, and Broadsheet. When she’s not producing viral content or podcasting about skincare, you’ll find her thrifting for vintage treasures or binging Bravo (strictly for research, of course).

Key Takeaways

  • Tonners aren't enemies: I now believe that toners have been misrepresented and can actually benefit the skin significantly.
  • Mediheal Toner Pads: These pads have gained popularity for their ability to simplify skincare routines while addressing various skin concerns.
  • Variety of options: I appreciate that Mediheal offers specific toner pads for different skin types and issues, such as hydration, blemishes, and ageing.
  • Easy application: Using the Mediheal pads is straightforward, allowing for either quick swipes or targeted treatments based on individual needs.
  • Instant glow: I experienced noticeable brightening and evenness after using the Vitamide Brightening Pads, much to my delight.
  • No irritation: For my reactive skin, the gentle formula provided hydration without causing any irritation or tightness.
  • Packaging wins: I’m a fan of the functional and cute packaging, which enhances the overall user experience with these pads.
  • Affordably priced: At under $40, I find these toner pads to be a great value considering their effectiveness and quality.

For the longest time, I was firmly in the “toners are the enemy” camp.
I’d been there, done that, and wound up with a compromised skin barrier to prove it. The stinging, the redness, the feeling like I’d dunked my face in acid—never again, I swore.
Fast forward to today: after many hours of deciphering ingredient lists and more late-night doom-scrolling than I’d care to admit, I’ve realised the truth: toners aren’t the enemy, they’ve just had bad PR.
Like many who grew up in the era of skin-stripping, alcohol-laden formulas (we won’t name names, but you know the ones), toners felt more like punishment than skincare. I happily skipped that step, unsure of its purpose beyond drying my already parched skin.
But now, with a bit more beauty know-how under my belt, I get it—toners can actually be a game changer.
Far from the moisture-sapping nightmare I once knew, today’s toners are all about hydration, exfoliation, and prepping the skin for everything that follows.
And now, I’m ready to give toners another shot, starting with the Mediheal Toner Pads that everyone’s talking about.
Here’s my honest take on these cult-favourite toner pads from a once-sceptical (but now reformed) toner enthusiast.

What Are the Mediheal Toner Pads?

If you’ve spent any time on #BeautyTok, chances are the Mediheal Toner Pads have already graced your For You Page.
These pre-soaked, multitasking pads have developed a cult following, and for good reason—they deliver targeted skincare solutions while simplifying your daily routine.
Whether you’re fighting dullness, blemishes, or the signs of aging, there’s likely a Mediheal toner pad designed with you in mind.
Let’s break down the options available at Adore Beauty:
  • Mediheal Teatree Trouble Pad: Ideal for oily and acne-prone skin, these pads calm irritation and reduce redness with tea tree extract, while providing daily exfoliation to keep pores clear.
  • Mediheal Collagen Ampoule Pad: A hydration booster that improves elasticity and firmness, thanks to collagen. Perfect for smoothing fine lines and enhancing skin texture—great for those looking to combat premature aging.
  • Mediheal Retinol Collagen Lifting Pad: Designed to tackle signs of aging like wrinkles and sagging skin, this formula combines retinol and collagen to firm and smooth mature skin.
  • Mediheal Watermide Moisture Pad: A saviour for dry or dehydrated skin, these pads deliver intense hydration and a cooling effect with water-binding ingredients for long-lasting moisture.
  • Mediheal Madecassoside Blemish Pad: Formulated for blemish-prone skin, these pads reduce the appearance of post-acne scars and dark spots, while soothing and repairing with madecassoside.
  • Mediheal Phyto-Enzyme Peeling Pad: An exfoliating pad that uses natural enzymes to gently remove dead skin cells, minimise pores, and improve overall texture for a radiant glow.
  • Mediheal Vitamide Brightening Pad If luminosity is your goal, these pads contain vitamin C and niacinamide to even out skin tone, reduce dark spots, and give your complexion a luminous boost.

How to Use the Mediheal Toner Pads.

Once you’ve selected your ideal pad, applying them is easy.
For a deeper treatment, place the pads on targeted areas like your forehead, cheeks, or chin for 15 minutes, then remove and let the leftover serum sink in.
For a quicker routine, simply swipe the pad across your cleansed skin to tone, hydrate, and prep it for the next steps in your skincare lineup.

With so many options, you’re probably wondering which one I chose.
While I was tempted by more than one (like the creator above), I decided to try the Vitamide Brightening Pads since my skin has been looking a bit dull and textured as we transition into spring/summer, and I'm always trying to achieve a more consistent skin tone.
My colleague Chloe has been road-testing the Mediheal Teatree Trouble Pads.

The above considered, you probably already know where this is heading (she’s about as subtle as a sledgehammer).
TL;DR? I’m a big fan.
The instant glow is real. As I peeled the pads off, I could visibly see a tonal difference between the treated areas and the surrounding skin. Brighter, more even, and undeniably glowing.
For someone with reactive skin like mine, I was pleasantly surprised—no irritation, no tightness, just hydrated, happy skin.
The niacinamide really pulled its weight, calming any redness and adding a hit of hydration. And, bonus: the formula is gentle enough to use morning and night without overwhelming your skin, just be sure to follow with SPF if you're using them during the day.
Now, let’s talk packaging.
As a self-confessed packaging nerd, the colour-coded cubes with matching mini tongs are a big win—cute, functional, and make it easier to navigate the whole range. And at under $40, it’s a steal.
In a world where our skincare steps keep multiplying while our wallets don’t, these toner pads simplify, streamline, and stand out. Consider me sold.

“I'm very late to the Mediheal train and I know it, these toning pads have been sprinkled throughout my FYP for a while now in various ASMR routines (which I can't get enough of BTW.)
I scooped up the Tea Tree Trouble Pad as I tend to get congested when I get a lil’ stressed or even around my TOM (time of the month), I'm the type of person who likes to nip it in the bud.
The Mediheal Teatree Trouble Pad is a tub of 100 pads soaked with a blend of active ingredients like Tea Tree, Lactobacillus and Mediheal's unique TeatreePair complex.
Together these ingredients work to calm irritation, reduce redness, and provide essential hydration.
You can use these daily, with just a little swipe motion or as a 15-minute intensive treatment.
Right off the bat, the tea tree scent is quite strong, which I absolutely love. Easy to use, the toning pads are huge and square-like so one is enough to swipe all over.
These would be good to travel with too, I'd just recommend popping them into a Ziploc bag as the box does leak a little.
In summary, if you have oily and/or blemish-prone skin and are looking for something fuss-free to help manage that, definitely have a look at the Mediheal Teatree Trouble Pad.” - Chloe, Content Coordinator.
