Have you heard of the ‘dopamine menu’ trend?

I promise I have a point here, so bare with me.

Essentially it’s a TikTok trend that encourages you to make a list of things that make you happy, regardless of if it’s big or small.

That way when you’re feeling a bit blue, you’ve got a list of things you can do that are guaranteed to increase your mood.

For example, my dopamine menu includes store-bought lattes, a sweaty hot mat pilates class, reading books on my kindle and - you guessed it - an everything shower.

See, we got there team! Welcome to the point.

But if you’re not as obsessed as me with the ‘Everything Shower,’ you might be wondering what an ‘Everything Shower’ is.

Urban Dictionary defines an ‘Everything Shower’ as “taking a shower and doing everything.”

It’s as delightfully simple as that - a routine that you can build that includes doing all your favourite self-care and self-maintenance things at once.

I look forward to my "everything shower" every single time—it’s two hours of luxurious TLC just for me. I always start with mood-boosting tunes, and the playlist depends entirely on how I’m feeling at the time.

Once I’m in the shower, I begin with The Ordinary Sulphate 4% Cleanser for Body and Hair - 240ml, perfect for clarifying my scalp and removing build-up from all the curl creams and gels I use.

I then condition my hair with The Ordinary Behentrimonium Chloride 2% Conditioner - 240ml, a game-changer that makes detangling a breeze and keeps my curls hydrated and soft—an absolute must for curly hair.

I then cleanse my body with a generous squeeze of Molton Brown Orange & Bergamot Body Wash 300ml. Its invigorating, zesty scent is an instant mood-lifter and smells amazing.

On non-shaving days, I exfoliate with the FIRST AID BEAUTY KP Bump Eraser with 10% AHA 226g, it smoothes my sensitive skin and always feels incredibly soft and polished post-shower.

My last step is cleansing my face with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel 200ml. It effortlessly removes makeup, SPF and the day’s impurities, leaving my skin feeling refreshed and clean.

Once I’m out of the shower, I apply my L'Occitane Shea Butter Body Lotion 250ml, which is lightweight, fast-absorbing, and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth. My post-shower ritual follows with my haircare routine, a face mask, and my extensive skincare routine.

I feel like a brand new person after my everything shower routine. It’s like pressing the reset button! My routine leaves me feeling rejuvenated and pampered—it's a must to include this integral part of my self-care routine at least once a week.

I’d love to try one of our shower body oils, specifically the Bioderma Atoderm Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Shower Oil 1L . I've heard incredible reviews, and since I already love Bioderma’s skincare, I know it’ll be a great addition.

I’m also eyeing our post-shower oils, especially the SALT BY HENDRIX Dream Body Oil 100ml . It looks stunning and is versatile—you can use it in a shower or bath, or afterward. I already adore the brand, so this dreamy body oil is definitely going in my cart!

If it's truly an Everything Shower, it starts before the water is on. I love to light a candle in the bathroom and then do a full body dry brush with the Black Chicken Remedies Garshana Dry Body Brush to gently exfoliate all over.

Once I'm in, I started with a pre shampoo or detox shampoo to scrub out any nasties from my multiple days of dry shampoo. I'm loving the K18 Peptide Detox Shampoo 250ml , it smells amazing is really easy to lather.

Due to my work in haircare I do have a big collection of shampoo and conditioner, but my favourite at the moment is L'Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Absolut Repair Molecular Shampoo 300ml and the Rinse Off Serum, this combo makes my hair feel so silky and clean for days  - which is a great for fine hair like mine.

While my conditioning serum is soaking it's body time! I start by with my MVP, the Bioderma Atoderm Ultra-Nourishing Cleansing Shower Oil 1L, which had been in my staff order every three months since I discovered it. It smells amazing, scrubs up great and leaves my skin feeling luscious.

After the conditioner rinse out is a face cleanse with L'Oréal Paris Bright Reveal Dark Spot Cleanser to wash off any shampoo/conditioner residue from my face and puts the finishing touches on a full body pamper.

Final touches are a hair treatment once I'm towelled off, and Kerastase Elixir Ultime hair oil 75mlis my all time go-to, followed by some Hada Labo Body Essence In-Milk 200mL all over and a spritz of perfume as the cherry on top.

My everything shower routine is pamper time, right down to the candles and perfume - and it feels relaxing and efficient all in one. If I can step out of the shower feeing like a zen Moo Deng then it's a job well done for me.

Although my everything shower already has just about everything from head to toe BUT if I really want to mean that, I would add in an INNISFREE Foot Mask Treatment to the tail end of my next shower as a final pamper piece, and at only $5 it would be rude not to treat my feet!

My ‘everything’ showers begin a few hours prior to stepping into the shower by applying aNAK Hair Replends Moisture Mask 150ml through the ends of my hair for hydration as well as AVEDA Scalp Solutions Overnight Recovery Serum 50ml that I massage in to stimulate the scalp and encourage hair growth.

Once the water is running, I use a clarifying shampoo to help rinse out all the product in my hair and to keep my blonde highlights ‘non brassy'. VIRTUE Recovery Shampoo 60ml is next as its important to double shampoo and this helps to keep hair looking healthy (the caramel scent is a bonus).

My hair needs all the love so in I go with the L'Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Absolut Repair Molecular Rinse-off Serum 250ml followed by a hydrating mask, (or every few washes K18). A hair mask requires 3-5 mins so is a good time to use a body scrub before applying a body wash.

While the hair is still damp, my fave product to put through the mid to ends is the Christophe Robin Hydrating Leave-in Cream With Aloe Vera 150ML.

Time for more multi-tasking by applying a calming face mask whilst doing a quick blowout with the Shark FlexStyle Air Styling & Drying System Hair Styler Silver, then VIRTUE Healing Oil 50ml is a lovely finisher for repair/shine.

The OPI Repair Mode 9mL nail treatment is the perfect finishing touch before having a relaxing AVEDA Comforting Tea Bagsand lathering on my Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask 20g before bed.

Turning what can be seen as a chore to more of a tranquil reset that makes me feel like ‘me’ again… I like to view it as self love and one of the highest ways to care for myself.

I would love to make dry body brushing before my shower a more regular ritual, as well as using my new Kahlia Skin LED Light Therapy Dome as a final step, to make my face and décolletage GLOW.

The Everything Shower is a whole experience and it starts before I even step into the shower! I like to start with a quick massage of my scalp with my STRAAND Scalp Brush which I use again later to work in my shampoo. This feels soo good and sets the tone for my shower.

For my first shampoo I like to use the L'Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Scalp Advanced Anti-Oiliness Shampoo 300ml and then the Wella Professionals INVIGO Nutri-Enrich Deep Nourishing Shampoo 250mL for the second shampoo. I then follow this up with the ELEVEN Australia Miracle Hair Mask 200ml.

While the mask is working its magic, I take that time for a bit of pampering with the iKOU Organic Lemon Myrtle Salt Scrub 350g for a nice body scrub, the Lanolips Lip Scrub Strawberry and double cleanse of my face with the CeraVe Blemish Control Cleanser 236ml.

This shower is for fully indulging so of course I have to finish off with the L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil 250ml. After the shower I’ll generally moisturise with CeraVe Moisturising Lotion but if I’m looking for an extra glow I’ll opt for the Three Warriors Natural Gradual Tan.

The above routine is not something I do everyday so it’s really become my ultimate self-care ritual. I love that it helps me relax and unwind when I’m feeling stressed giving me the time to focus on myself.

I’ve recently heard a lot about how good dry body brushing is for improving circulation which is a major focus of mine as well as boosting skin health. Since I’ve had laser hair removal, exfoliation is also super important for me to keep my skin smooth, prevent ingrown hairs, and get the most out of my other skincare products.

Oh my goodness, what doesn't my everything shower include? It's always in the evening and it starts outside of the shower to be honest - with a pre-shower scalp spray and a pre-shampoo treatment. Then it's Pureology Hydrate Shampoo 266ml , Kerastase Premiere Decalcifying Ultra-Repairing Pre-Shampoo Treatment 250ml.

A luxe body oil wash (hello L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil 250ml), deep cleanse with La Roche-Posay Effaclar Micro Peeling Cleanser 200ml while that sets in (yes I cleanse in the shower, dermatologists look away).

And then hydrating oil and body moisturiser from First Aid Beauty once I'm out of the shower. Can't forget the dermaplaning, skincare and face mask that occurs afterwards as well that I fully count as a part of the routine - and the fake tan if I'm feeling like the extra pep in my step.

I love that it fully resets me and brings me to the present moment. I feel so fresh, clean and more like myself afterwards - there's nothing like slipping into a freshly made bed after an everything shower.

I've always wanted to add an LED mask to my everything shower routine  (Therabody Theraface LED Mask I’m looking at you), and I've always had my eye on the Salt By Hendrix Gua Sha range - my jaw is a prone to tension from grinding my teeth (my dentist loves me) so I think it'd be a win to both massage my jaw and help skincare sink in.

I also think I should be scrubbing my skin a bit more - so maybe a full body scrub as I already love my FIRST AID BEAUTY KP Bump Eraser with 10% AHA 226g for my KP.
