I think we can all agree that when it comes to prestige beauty, no one does it quite like DIOR.
Not only does their packaging look like a work of art, but the performance of their products is second to none (in other words they don’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk).
I’ve had cult classics like
Backstage Face & Body Foundation along with the
Backstage Glow Face Palette in my personal and professional makeup kit for years now, so when a brand new multi-use balm landed on my desk I was VERY intrigued.
And who better to road-test it than the DIOR lover herself?!
Introducing DIOR’s new revitalising balm,
DIOR Skin Le Baume.
What Is DIOR Le Baume?
DIOR Skin Le Baume is an ultra-compact, multi-purpose treatment that helps hydrate and soothe dry areas of the hands, lips and body.
It has a comforting sensorial texture composed of 95%* natural-origin ingredients and delivers a soothing balm feel suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive.
In true DIOR fashion, the visual elements of the packaging look like a work of art with the sleek design tied together with the iconic oblique DIOR motif.
Think hydration delivered in couture packaging.
Here are some other fast facts:
Formulated with Centella Asiatica infusions, hyaluronic acid and shea butter which work together to hydrate and soothe the skin, while assisting with skin barrier repair.
Travel-size design with a flip-top lid so you can open and close it using only one hand AND be sure that you will never lose a lid down the side of a seat or under a couch.
After road testing for a few weeks, here are my honest thoughts...
My DIOR Le Baume Review.

I primarily found myself using DIOR Le Baume as a hand/cuticle hydrator as well as a lip balm.
It has quite a unique formula as it is super hydrating but spreads and absorbs really easily when rubbed into the skin.
It has a velvet feel once applied and won’t leave a sheen or shine to the lips/skin making it a very discreet hydrator (and probably the reason that my husband has asked to steal some from me every night before bed).
I couldn’t detect any fragrances within the DIOR Le Baume and I would say the texture starts off as a cream before emulsifying into a silky veil.
As it is only a 50ml portion, I generally liked to use DIOR Le Baume on smaller areas of the body like cuticles, lips, hands and dry elbows by applying a pea-sized amount for hands/elbows and about a quarter of that for lips.
I have really enjoyed having this balm with me both at my desk whilst I’m working as well as chucking it in my handbag when I’m on the go.
The compact design makes it so easy to take with you on your travels and it will definitely be packed in my carry-on bag when I jet off to Europe later this year.
Last but not least, I don’t think I could write this article without mentioning how many compliments I have gotten from people around the office when I have Le Baume sitting on my desk, as well as friends and family when they’ve seen me pull it out of my handbag.
Not only does it make the perfect on-the-go hydrator but it would also be a really cool gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend or family member.
Final Verdict...
If you’re looking for a hard-working, multi-tasking hydration hero that adds a touch of bougie to your life, then the DIOR Le Baume should be added to your cart asap.
