The Bougie Lip Mask We Can’t Stop Slathering on Our Dry Pouts

Less than two weeks ago, our skincare Category Manager kindly gave us a new lip mask and face oil to try from cosmeceutical brand Aspect.
Intrigued by the promise of salvation for my perennially parched and always-look-like-they’re-begging-for-water lips, I wasted no time and put the fancy lip mask to the test that same night.
Much like why I so quickly fell in love with my Laneige sleep mask after one use, I woke up to instantly smoother and softer lips.
Ok, this stuff was geeewwwd.
I went back to work the next week and told our skincare team how much I was loving it.
Fast forward to almost a week later on a work Zoom call, another AB Staffer was also singing its praises (more on that below) - so much so, I saw her whip it out of her jacket pocket and the whole tube was almost finished (we’ve had it for less than two weeks).
It was time to tell the people about our newfound lip care obsession.

Now, let me get the bad news out of the way first…
This isn’t your run-of-the-mill lip mask (our now supple lips can attest to that), she’s a cosmeceutical.
Meaning she’s infused with active ingredients that not only soothe and nourish dry and dehydrated lips, but also give them a bit of a plumping effect.
So because of this (valid) reason, she’s $49. A lip-vestment if you will.
Before you slam your phone/laptop shut in protest (I get it), if you do have capacity, and want a heavy-duty lip care product that works fast and keeps lips soft all day without the incessant need for reapplication, you will love this lip mask as much as us.
Particularly with the dehydrating effects summer can have on our pouts, this lip salve is going to come in very handy (don’t get me started on how much you will love this even more in winter).

Look, did I ever think I’d be so obsessed with a lip mask that I’d write more than 300 words on it? No, but here we are.
Like I said, this is no ordinary lip mask.
Firstly let’s talk about the cooling applicator tip that makes applying this gel-like lip balm on the lips extra comforting, soothing and calming.
A little of this light raspberry balm goes a long way, melts into the lips and I’m sorry to tell you it’s one of those bougie products you’re going to instantly love and keep repurchasing after you try it.
I totally understand that $49 doesn’t sound appealing for a lip mask, but if you want to treat your dry lips, this one should be at the top of your list.
I warn you, once you swipe this on your pout and feel and see the results, you're going to want to start making room in your monthly salary for this.
Of course, you can get lip care products at drugstore prices.
But why not try a spendier one that’s less of a temporary fix and can offer lasting nourishment and hydration?
My lips usually go back to their cracked and dry appearance a few hours into the day after applying my usual lip balms, but not since they've been treated to the Aspect lip mask.
With summer around the corner, I know the extra drinking, partying etc. will lead to more dehydrated lips than usual, a pesky issue I don't want to worry about while having fun.
Thank goodness I’ll have this nourishing little tube on-hand to help kiss dry lips goodbye!
