As a skin therapist, I can’t emphasise enough
how important double cleansing is for achieving truly clean and content skin.
At this point, I’m like a broken record, constantly nagging my family and friends about it. In my eyes, it’s a non-negotiable!
The first step, in particular, is all about using the right product to break down makeup,
sunscreen, and excess oils.
This is where an oil-based cleanser really shines.
For those with dry skin, a cleansing oil is especially beneficial, leaving your skin hydrated while thoroughly cleansing without stripping it of essential moisture.
Unlike traditional foaming cleansers, oil-based formulas work by binding to the oils, makeup and impurities on your skin, dissolving them and gently lifting them away, all while preserving your skin’s natural balance.
On that note, one of our leading cosmeceutical brands has just launched their own nourishing cleansing oil, and as someone who’s tried countless oil cleansers, I was eager to see how it stacked up.
After putting it to the test, I’m excited to share my thoughts!

My Aspect Nourishing Cleansing Oil Review.

Firstly, the packaging is sleek, practical, and sturdy—no mess, no waste. Plus it looks great in my shower niche which is always a bonus!
As I dispensed the silky cleanser into my hands, I was immediately greeted by the beautiful and refreshing scent of light botanicals, which made the experience feel even more indulgent.
Upon application, the cleanser felt delightfully light and velvety, yet rich enough to give me the confidence that it was thoroughly cleansing my skin.
Also, if you're like me and love a bit of self-care in the mornings, or if you have a few extra minutes to indulge in a facial massage while you cleanse, this cleanser is perfect for that.
Speaking of which, just how long should you cleanse for?
If double cleansing, 30-60 seconds with your oil-cleanser should suffice. I found this to be enough time to effectively break down my makeup and sunscreen from the day.
I would recommend applying this onto dry skin to allow the oils to adhere to the dirt and impurities sitting on the skin before emulsifying by adding a bit of water and washing everything away.
While I did find this to be great at breaking down my foundation and SPF; I did have to spend a bit of time working this in to effectively remove my eye makeup.
After this, I went in with my regular purifying cleanser, tailored to my skin’s concerns.
Final Verdict...
I found this cleanser to be the perfect addition to my double cleansing routine. It left my skin feeling soft, balanced and clean—minus the tight, stripped feeling.
My take is this: If you have the capacity to, are part of the dry skin club and need an extra burst of nourishment in your routine, then this cleanser will not disappoint.
