I Tried the Maybelline Superstay Skin Tint Blowing Up My TikTok Feed

I love skin tints, but they don’t always love me back.
I’ve got oily-to-combo skin so more often than not skin tints will slip off my skin and disappear faster than you can say “One almond latte please.”
So when I caught wind that iconic brand Maybelline was launching a new longwear skin tint, I was immediately interested.
A long-wearing skin tint with a fresh, natural finish? Say less, I’m in.

What Is the Maybelline Superstay 24 Hour Skin Tint?
The Maybelline Superstay 24 Hour Skin Tint has fans ALL over the world. From icons NikkieTutorials and Mikayla Nogueira; even my fave NZ influencer Kasia Stanicich posted a review on it and loved it, and I’d trust her opinion on anything.
It. Is. Everywhere.

With the rise of multi-hyphenate products on the market, makeup products with skincare benefits are only getting more and more popular (hello, Maybelline Instant Perfector 4-in-1 Glow Makeup that was released earlier in the year that I adore).
This skin tint claims to offer buildable and radiant coverage, with added vitamin C derivatives in the product itself. Think super light texture that can be blended into the skin however you like.
Full transparency, vitamin C is my favourite skincare ingredient, so finding out that this product not only instantly brightens but holds its radiance made my afternoon.
Also, as a side note: I was lucky enough to be perusing the streets of Budapest earlier this year when my paths serendipitously crossed this skin tint.
My bestie Kenny bought it in Budapest when she realised she’d left her foundation behind at her flat in London. She gave it a whirl and after two days in the hot Hungarian sun, she was obsessed with it.
So obviously I had to give this a try when it was released on Adore Beauty...
How Long Does The Maybelline Skin Tint Last?

How To Apply Maybelline Skin Tint.
Shake the bottle well before use. Use the included dropper to apply a few drops to your face. Blend with fingers, a brush, or a makeup sponge for even coverage.
Layer additional product as needed for more coverage or pair with other makeup products for a complete look.

Is this the best skin tint?
Long story short? I LOVE this product.
As in I love it enough for it to have become a staple in my makeup bag ever since I first tried it. Yes, it is THAT good.
First up, the texture of this product is very thin, which makes it super blendable with either your fingers, a brush or beauty sponge.
I always opt for a beauty sponge as I find it gives the perfect diffused look I’m after.
Next up, because it’s so blendable, it’s also buildable.
This is one of my favourite things about this product if I’m honest - it never got too heavy on my skin or sat oddly if I was adding extra coverage to certain spots.
I took the below photo in direct morning sunlight and the only texture on my skin is my natural skin texture. Obsessed.
Next up, this product has some serious wear. I took the below photo on the same day as the above photo was taken but after I ate my lunch, so around 12:30.
Can you BELIEVE?
With that all said, I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I absolutely adore this product.
This is the perfect Goldilocks base, where I was able to dial down the coverage for a more natural base if I wanted to highlight my skin and amp up the coverage for days when I needed it (hello, luteal phase).
Rewind to when I was in high school, and I would’ve needed multiple different base products to achieve the looks I have with this product.
So, if you’re in the market for a gorgeous, glowy skin tint that will stay all day and also look natural from morning to night, this is the one for you. It’s certainly the one for me!
