Chances are you’ve already heard about this mascara but if you haven’t, let me get you up to speed.
L’Oreal Paris recently released their new Telescopic Lift Mascara promising to add length, curl and volume to lashes.
In quite a normal turn of events, beauty TikToker Mikayla Nogueira released a
video reviewing the mascara, however, the video turned out to be quite controversial with the TikTok community going CRAZY over it.
With the hype of Mikayla’s review and everyone wanting to know if the mascara REALLY works, the #
telescopiclift hashtag went viral, amassing over 590 MILLION views.
Good news for you, we won’t make you go trawling through TikTok to find the tea on the mascara because we've taken matters into our own hands and road-tested it ourselves.
Here are our honest thoughts.
What Is the L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Lift Mascara?

The Telescopic Mascara offers a ceramide-infused formula that claims to add 5mm length, instant volume and lift with a 36-hour wear time.
The brush uses patented double-hook technology to thoroughly coat and lift/separate the lashes, depending on which side is used.
The vegan-friendly, ophthalmologist-tested formula also promises:
No flaking.
No clumps.
No fall-down.
No smudging.
The mascara is also available in an 'extra black' rendition for maximum intensity.
The
L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Lift Lengthening Mascara Extra Black boasts all the same features PLUS it contains extra black pigment to ensure your lashes are in for a treat.
I definitely noticed visible lift and length when it was applied and my naturally brown lashes were transformed into a striking carbon black.
How to Apply the L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Lift Mascara.
After some light reading, I found that the mascara is designed to be applied in two steps.
The first step goes in and lifts the lashes whilst coating them with the long-lasting ceramide-infused formula.
The second step calls for the side combs to be used to separate the lashes for added volume and length.
The two-step design of the mascara compliments the way I apply mascara quite well as I am usually a two-mascaras-at-all-times kind of gal. One to lift and one to add volume and length.
If your lashes are already quite curled and lift isn’t your worry, the side hook bristles will be your bestie.
If you’re like me and your lashes are quite straight on their own or you like a lifted look, the front hook bristles will be getting a workout.
If you’re into lift, volume and separated lashes good news, the mascara is set up to do it all with its clever two-step approach.
My L’Oreal Paris Telescopic Lift Mascara Review.

For day-to-day looks, I usually apply my mascara at the very end of my makeup routine, so that's how I’ve been road-testing it.
First things first I just have to say: WOW, did the L'oreal Paris Telescopic mascara lift my lashes!
I, of course, made sure that I didn’t use my lash curler during my road test so we could see the lift power of the mascara itself, but I was pleasantly surprised when I applied the first coat with the front side bristles and found that my lashes were shooting up towards my brows all on their own.
Whilst I loved the lift that the first coat gave me, I was looking for a bit more drama, so I went in with the side combs to add some volume and length.
I can report that the second coat did a great job of amplifying my lashes and giving them the intensity I like.
I will say that the formula is quite wet and takes a while to dry down, so keep this in mind when applying, especially if your lashes are long and touch any skin under your brows.
To avoid product build-up/clumping whilst applying, I like to wait about 30 seconds between step one and two to ensure that the formula is ready to be dispersed evenly along the lash shaft.

For best results, always be sure to apply the mascara from root to tip, lifting the lashes up towards the brows whilst doing so.
I didn’t experience any flaking or smudging with the mascara, even after wearing it all day long which is a huge tick in my books.
Despite the two-step approach sounding confusing, the mascara was super easy to use and you will be able to find your groove/what works best for your individual lash type and desired look.
Math has never been my strong suit so I can’t confirm if 5mm was added to my lashes, but I do believe that the mascara delivers on its promise of longer, lifted and volumised lashes.
Final Verdict.
If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop that can lengthen, separate, volumise and lift your lashes, then the
L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Lift Mascara should be in your next Adore Beauty order.
For $32, you'll get a mascara that can deliver the results you would usually need two mascaras to achieve thanks to its patented double-hook brush.
