To understand why Huda Beauty has become the mega beauty brand it is today (and a regular viral sensation on #beautytok/TikTok) you first have to appreciate that Huda is unlike any beauty brand in the sense that it puts diversity and inclusivity at the forefront.
When I first started wearing makeup as a teen, the beauty landscape severely lacked beauty brands like Huda Beauty that catered to all skin tones (especially for those who had deeper or olive skin like me).
Many of us found ourselves trying to make do with shades that simply didn't match our skin and that was just our cross to bear because we didn't really have a choice.
So, when brands like Huda Beauty emerged with a wide range of inclusive complexion products, it was kind of a game changer and our ‘limited options’ didn't feel limited anymore.
We were finally included.
Younger me would have loved more brands like Huda Beauty to have existed back then, because all skin tones and complexions deserve to feel celebrated and catered to.
Whether it’s a popular Huda Beauty foundation such as Huda Beauty Glowish or the finely crafted Huda Beauty powder, founder Huda Kattan leaves no skin tone or complexion behind!
Just one quick search of ‘Huda Beauty TikTok’ on your phone shows the abundance of beautiful and diverse faces that have so quickly become obsessed with all the products!
With that in mind, three different faces and skin tones in the Adore Beauty office tried and reviewed Huda’s most popular complexion products.

Shade: Light Medium.
Fast facts:
  • A great everyday wear dewy skin tint that leaves a ‘second skin’ finish.
  • Gives a soft-focus effect to pores.
  • Infused with Damascus rose oil and sustainably-sourced red bell pepper extract (these ingredients help soothe, clarify and hydrate the skin).
  • Comes in 13 stretchable shades.
  • Non-comedogenic and fragrance-free.
  • Is water and transfer-proof.
My mini Huda Beauty Glowish review:
This one of the first Huda Beauty products AB staffers were feverishly waiting to get their hands on when Huda Beauty first launched on Adore Beauty last year.
And it soon became a crowd favourite. This skin tint really does settle like a ‘second skin’ and I love it for daily use especially in winter when my skin always looks dull and lacklustre.
It leaves a gorgeous luminosity behind making it look like you’ve just had a million dollar facial.
The coverage is more sheer, so I would only wear this in the day as I do need a heavier foundation like the Faux Filter for daylong or evening wear.
I would say this is also better suited to dry skins, if you have an oily t-zone like me you might find it can slip around a little after about 5-6 hours of wear (but the glow is so worth it).

Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Luminous Matte Liquid Foundation.

Shade: Baklava.
Fast facts:
  • A long-wearing full coverage foundation that leaves a luminous, matte finish.
  • Comes in 39 shades across 8 colour families.
  • Is suitable for skin types (is also non-comedogenic so won't clog your pores).
  • Promises up to 25 hours wear.
  • Evens out the skin tone with a skin-blurring effect.
My mini Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Luminous Matte Liquid Foundation review:
The Huda Beauty Faux filter foundation reminds me a lot of the Clinique serum foundation in that it offers a medium to full coverage that smoothes over the skin and gives it an even base while still enhancing your complexion.
It ticked all my ‘good first impression’ boxes: perfectly masked my dark spots and pigmentation, didn’t feel heavy on the skin and it lasted!
I applied it at around 10am in the morning, went out for a whole day, shopped, ate lunch, went to the dog park, TOOK A NAP, woke up and both the concealer (although faded a tiny bit) and my foundation still looked like this:

Huda Beauty #Fauxfilter Luminous Matte Liquid Concealer.

Shade: Cookie Dough.
  • A medium to full coverage concealer with a long-wear formula.
  • Offers a luminous matte finish.
  • Comes in 29 shades.
  • Is infused with vitamin E and sweet almond oil.
My mini #Fauxfilter Luminous Matte Liquid Concealer review:
I have currently have super dry and super creasy under eyes so makeup staying put on these babies is no easy feat, but the Huda Faux Filter did an excellent job.
It perfectly brightened up my under eyes while also blurring my genetic dark circles. Winner.

Chloe's shades:
"Huda Beauty makes some of the best makeup products out there, I started using the viral Huda Cheeky Tint Blush Stick and the Tantour Contour & Bronzer Cream, they were both love at first swipe and have been staples in my routine ever since.
I’ve been incredibly keen to try out the GloWish Multi Dew Skin Tint, I know Dalal loves it and it did not disappoint.
It was a bit thicker and provided more coverage compared to other skin tints I’ve tried before - but this actually works really well with my oily skin type.

So easy to use, I just prepped my skin and applied the skin tint with a dense buffing brush."

"The GloWish Bright Light Sheer concealer (on the left) is right up my alley, it’s in the product name, but definitely sheer, I like to let my concealer ‘bake’ on my face for a bit before buffing it out with my beauty blender - this provided the most perfect concealer coverage and looked exactly like my skin - but better.
The Faux Filter Luminous Matte Liquid Concealer (on the right) is definitely more coverage than I’m used to, but I see myself using this more for events, brightening my undereye and carving out the eyebrows - it feels super creamy when blending, and for everyone out there that’s into full coverage, especially oily people - the Faux Filter concealer and foundation will last and looks immaculate in photos!
Now, to the Huda easy bake powder...
Undeniably, this Huda beauty setting powder looks intimidating and she looks very yellow, but to my suprise - did not come up yellow on my skin like I thought it would - it mattified my oily areas perfectly and melted into my make up to look like skin as I wore it throughout the day.
The powder is finely milled and I’m not too sure what kind of technology is in this but it blended in with my complexion perfectly.
I wore this throughout the workday, so, 9 hours. I went for walks, got sweaty all of that. When I tell you my make up stayed on beautifully - Just look at the pictures.
It really does look like my skin but better.
Overall, Huda Beauty complexion products, to no one’s surprise is: immaculate, longwearing, and just plain gorgeous."

Jas's shades:
"I've been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to try these cult Huda complexion products, especially after falling in love with the GloWish Bright Light Concealer.
So it comes as no surprise that I'm also head over heels for the GloWish Multi Dew Skin Tint.
It's the perfect hydrating formula and luminous finish for no-makeup makeup looks.
The Faux Filter Foundation has a more matte finish than I usually go for, but I can see myself using it when I require more coverage for a full glam look.
However, a tip for dry skins: start with a dewy base and use a dense brush to evenly distribute the product.
But the real MVPs in this lineup are the Easy Bake Powder and Faux Filter Concealer.
They work wonders in brightening the under-eye area and genuinely deliver an airbrushed finish."
