Pack Light, Shine Bright: DIOR Beauty Essentials for Your Next Holiday

So, it’s freezing here in Melbourne.
There are many ways to combat the cold, but the most obvious one to me was to flee the country for warmer weather - namely, Bali.
Gorgeous, not too long of a flight and most importantly, WARM, Bali has always been one of my favourite destinations.
As a girl who grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia, Bali was always an easy hour’s flight away and I was a frequent flyer of this travel route.
Unfortunately what I tend to forget is that whilst warm, Bali can also be humid and with that inevitably comes sweat.
So as I pack my bags with cute sundresses and strappy tops, my mind wanders to what makeup essentials I should take with me.
In my experience, fighting the perspiration is not the right approach. Instead, I tend to lean in.
With this in mind, I need multi-use, light coverage, hydration and glow.
Enter DIOR - my little luxuries that are perfect for this brief.
So without further ado, meet my DIOR must-haves for your next holiday.
1. DIOR Skin Essentials Le Baume Pink Limited Edition.
What:
My must-have for my handbag, now in limited edition packaging!
DIOR’s Le Baume is a secret weapon, designed to nourish hands, lips AND body.
A light, but creamy texture with a formula composed of 95%* natural-origin ingredients - I feel good about using it, and it feels good using it.
This circular compact fits perfectly in my handbag and is what I reach for when my hands feel dry, namely when I’m on the plane.
Once landed, this becomes the perfect quick-fix to give legs, arms and décolletage that pop of hydration when suddenly exposed after rugging up in the Melbourne winter.
I’ve even used this as a highlighter on my cheekbones, at a pinch! Really, a great all-rounder.
There’s almost no scent to this product, which is a win for my sensitive friends.

2. DIOR Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm.
What:
On to a classic DIOR product - Addict Lip Glow Balm.
Smooth, nourishing and with the subtlest pop of pigment, this was the perfect alternative to lipstick in a warm climate.
Infused with cherry oil, this key ingredient helps strengthen the natural barrier function of the lips’ skin over the course of applications.
For someone who can suffer from dry lips (especially after a six-hour flight), this is music to my ears.
I took the Pink shade with me to Bali to give me a sheer kiss of colour when heading out to dinner and drinks.
Though I used it as a final product, the benefit of the Addict Lip Glow Balm is it can also be used as a lip prep step - applied before your lipstick of choice. Another multi-tasker, we love to see it!
I am such a fan of this product because it’s almost what I imagine would be created if a lipstick and a balm had a baby. You get all the hydration of a balm, with the pop of colour from a lipstick.
My only word of caution is although it applies light like a balm, do not forget about the pigment - precision with application is a must.
3. DIOR Miss Dior EDP Mini Miss Solid Perfume Fragrance Stick.
What:
Lastly, my secret weapon.
Who has the time to worry about liquids when travelling? If it’s not MLS through airport security, it’s ensuring the liquid doesn’t spill whilst getting to and from your destination.
My solve? A solid fragrance stick, and who does fragrance better than DIOR?
Resembling lipstick, the Miss Dior Mini Miss Solid Perfume Fragrance Stick is alcohol-free and packaged in the iconic Miss Dior packaging, silver with a baby pink stripe.
Enriched with rose wax, this product applies smoothly and gently, perfect for delicate areas such as wrists, décolletage or behind the ears.
I apply this as my last step and ensure I pack it in my handbag for those crucial top-up moments throughout the day or evening.
The scent is subtle and my personal preference.
A more powerful scent might suit a colder climate, but with warmer weather, I prefer slight and light fragrances.
Miss Dior is a floral, feminine and delicate fragrance composition and exactly what I wanted in the hot days and the balmy evenings.
I love this product because it’s the fragrance travel hack you never knew you needed. Thank me later.
