If my hair type were on a dating app and I had to describe it, it would go by “fine hair, but LOTS of it”.
My hair can be a little deceiving when it comes to choosing the right products for my individual needs.
Even though my hair strands are fine, there are LOTS of them, making my hair quite heavy, collectively thick and notorious for dropping out of any style I put it in.
On top of this, my hair is also coloured, so keeping it silky smooth can sometimes be a challenge.
I'm lucky to have tried MANY different hair products during my time at Adore Beauty, but the new super duo from the
NAK Hair ORI Lab is my go-to when my locks need some extra TLC.
I know you’re wanting me to spill the tea, so here is my current ORI Lab cleanse and hydrate routine.
PLUS an exciting new texture spray that I’ve been road testing.
1. ORI Lab Cleanse Shampoo.

Fast facts:
Won’t strip colour.
Hydrates and softens.
Suitable for coloured, fragile hair.
Offers a gentle yet satisfying cleanse.
Vegan, cruelty-free and made without parabens or sulphates.
Made with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, marshmallow, snowflower, camellia oil and oat extract to clean the scalp and make hair hydrated and soft.
My NAK Hair Ori Lab shampoo review:
I use the NAK shampoo twice when washing my hair to remove excess oils, product build-up and other nasties from my scalp/hair.
I then go in with a second shampoo to treat it with some killer hydrating ingredients.
I like to use a 20-cent piece size of shampoo per wash and have found that the second cleanse always gets the BEST lather.
The NAK shampoo is suitable for all hair types but will be particularly helpful for anyone with coloured hair that is looking for a hydration boost.
I’ve saved the best point til last, but I have to mention how OBSESSED I am with the fragrance of this shampoo.
It’s hard to accurately describe the scent, but what I will say about it is: clean, fruity and addictive.
2. ORI Lab Restore Condition.

Fast facts:
Ideal for fragile hair.
Recycled packaging.
Hydrates and softens.
Vegan and cruelty-free.
79% organic ingredients.
Made without sulphates or parabens.
Made with snowflower and camellia oil.
Suitable for all hair types but is a nourishing conditioner for coloured hair.
Ingredients include a star-studded lineup of niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, marshmallow, snowflower, camellia oil and oat extract.
My NAK Hair Ori Lab conditioner review:
As a general rule, I only apply conditioner to my mid-lengths and ends and tend to avoid my roots as I’ve found that this can sometimes weigh down my hair.
Before applying my conditioner, I like to grab a small towel and remove excess water from my hair.
This allows for better absorption of the conditioner and aids against product waste.
Once the conditioner is in, I let it work its magic for 3-5 minutes before rinsing it out and drying off.
The scent of the conditioner is just as amazing as the NAK shampoo and I always get compliments from my fiancé whenever I've used an ORI Lab product in my hair.
3. ORI Lab Texture Spray.

Fast facts:
The texture spray offers a sweet, sensual fragrance that elevates any look whilst including the amazing ingredients below:
Aloe Vera - soothes and hydrates the scalp.
Sweet Almond Oil - nourishes and adds shine.
Marula Oil - protects against damage and breakage.
Niacinamide - promotes healthy hair growth and keeps your locks plump, hydrated and nourished to minimise breakage.
My ORI Lab Texture Spray review:
Once my hair is washed, conditioned, dried off and styled I’ve been LOVING going in with this newly released NAK Hair Ori Lab texture spray.
This multitasking hero adds flexible hold, volume and effortless texture without leaving it dry, stiff or crunchy.
As I mentioned, my hair is quite heavy and I’ve found that a few spritzes at my roots and along the body of my hair add the perfect plumpness and hold (something I'm often missing when styling my hair).
Once the spray has been applied, I like to go in with my fingers to tousle and set the hair in place.
Final Thoughts.

The NAK hair routine is great for anyone that is looking to treat their locks to an instant hydration hit.
Made with ingredients that we often see in skincare, the range is perfect for dry, coloured hair that needs some TLC.
If you have oily hair, you might find the luxurious hydrating factors might be a bit too rich for you.
However, considering its price point and suitability for all hair types, I think everyone should give it a go.
The texture spray can do no wrong in my eyes and I believe that it should be added to cart immediately!
