Working at Adore Beauty over the last five years has definitely levelled up my haircare game.
After testing and trialling multiple products for my fine, breakage-prone, blonde, flat hair - I have finally perfected a routine I will easily keep.
I'm pretty time-poor when it comes to routines so if you're busy like me, this routine is 100% doable.
Before we get into the routine, a little more about my hair: I have a good amount of hair (definitely less than pre-covid times but an ok amount).
My individual hairs are fine, Scandinavian dirt-road greige, straight, slippery and that's why my hair can look flat and dull.
As a photographer, I mostly put my hair up in a sleek bun when I'm working and I also do hot yoga a few times a week, so the sleek bun is my weekly go-to style.
However, it would be a good idea to let my hair down every now and then as what I've noticed (and also read from many magazines), a tight bun can actually cause breakage *especially* if you get your ends bleached.
Eating healthy and managing stress are the number 1 things for a great base level when it comes to healthy hair but like in skincare, there are things that you can use to maximise this with a proper routine.
So buckle up folks, it's time for a deep dive into my Scandi locks.
My current 'healthy hair routine' is easy, quick, nourishing but doesn't weigh the hair down and has something that prevents breakage and thinning.
Prevention is the key right?
Plus all these products I'll show you are vegan and cruelty-free!
Yay!
Step 1. Bondi Boost Pink Salt Scalp Scrub.

I’m in loooove with scalp scrubs.
I think scrub is a must when it comes to having a healthy hair and scalp routine (I'm not a hair professional obviously, but scrubs have changed my life for real).
Especially great if you sweat a lot or feel like your hair gets dirty very quickly (usually a flat hair problem - iykyk).
The
Bondi Boost Pink Salt Scalp Scrub - 250ml, which looks more like a paste, is made of lovely, fine pink salt, contains vitamin E, some beautiful oils as well as green coffee to help stimulate hair growth!
I use this 1-2 a week.
G-A-M-E-C-H-A-N-G-E-R.
Step 2. Bondi Boost Rapid Repair Shampoo & Conditioner.

They come in cute little bottles and I love the aesthetics, but don't let the size confuse, you'll only need about one pump of each product.
The Bondi Boost shampoo lathers so well but doesn't strip the hair and the end result is like I've just washed my hair in lake water: soft, smooth and healthy-feeling hair.
P.S. I always double shampoo.
This combo smells nice and fruity, like I'm in the tropics somewhere!

Step 3. Virtue Density Booster.

Think of the
VIRTUE Flourish Density Booster 120ml like a serum for your scalp but easier to apply as it's a spray.
It's super nourishing and also prevents thinning.
You can use this on wet or dry hair but I wouldn't use it in the morning.
I only use it before bed after I shower (hair washed or not) and only if I know I will wash my hair the next morning or if I'm putting my hair up in the sleek bun for the day.
This has definitely given me some new life for my hair and has made my hair appear fuller and I'm only halfway through the bottle!
Step 4. Olaplex Hair Perfector No.3 Home Treatment.

My all-time favourite and best friend especially for blonde hair.
The
Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector Pre-Shampoo Strengthening and Reparative Hair Treatment helps strengthen and repair hair damage from environmental stressors, bleaching, and heat-styling.
I use this every second hair wash day.
You only need a small amount and it makes your hair feel like baby's hair.
I don't use hot tools that often but if I want that bouncy Jennifer Coolidge kind of hair that lasts all day long, I use
VIRTUE Flourish Volumizing Styler 120ml. It's a great heat protectant that also acts as a styling/volumising mousse or more like a foam.Great for the fine, limp, slippery hair that I have!
