In Partnership With Bondi Boost

The journey to parenthood is one of the most transformational periods a person can go through.
One minute, you’re cruising along, minding your own business, and the next, you’re responsible for growing an entirely new human being. When you’re pregnant, not only does your body change, but your
skin can change too, often leading pregnant women to invest in an entirely
new skincare routine.
But the journey doesn’t end once you’ve had the baby. In fact, the
postpartum period can be even more challenging.
For many, it’s postpartum hair loss that hits the hardest. I should know, because it happened to me.
My Postpartum Hair Loss Timeline
My hair is on the thicker side so postpartum hair loss crept up on me. (My thick hair gave me a bit of a buffer when it did start to fall out, but I want to acknowledge how hard it can hit your confidence when your hair starts to thin, especially if you’re already not feeling like yourself postpartum.)
For me, I noticed a bit of extra hair in the sink but I didn’t really clock the hair loss too much until it started to grow back. Or perhaps the better descriptor would be that it “sprouted” back. Little tufts of hair popped up around my hairline and above my ears – they just stuck up and out no matter how much hairspray I used.
Postpartum hair loss happens to a large percentage of new mums thanks to the rapid hormonal shifts that happen in the days and weeks after the baby is born. This huge hormone dump triggers your hair follicles to go from growth to rest all at once. Layer on stress and lack of sleep (both very common during this phase of life) and the hair loss can be exacerbated even more.
The only good thing about postpartum hair loss is that it doesn’t last forever. My hair did sprout back and it’s been continuing to grow.
What I’ve been focusing on during this stage is supporting my hair and scalp health to create the optimal environment for new growth.
So when
Bondi Boost asked me to trial their new HG Lock Drops and broader HG range, I jumped at the chance.
Here is my honest experience of trialling the Bondi Boost HG range during the regrowth stage, once new growth started coming through and the shedding stage of my hormonal postpartum hair loss had already run its course.
My Bondi Boost Routine and Review:

Bondi Boost Lock Drops

What it promises: Powered by Epidermal Growth Factors and the HG3 complex (3% Procapil®, 3% Redensyl®, and a Bio-tanical Blend of Rosemary, Aloe, and Mint) this fast-absorbing, non-greasy formula helps reduce shedding and keep the hair you have for longer.
My Bondi Boost Lock drops Review:
Lock Drops are the newest addition to Bondi Boost’s HG range.
How to use Bondi Boost Lock Drops?
You can use Lock Drops every day by applying a few drops directly onto the scalp or dry hair. I only wash my hair twice a week so initially I was worried that these drops were going to feel greasy and weigh my hair down.
But they truly do dissolve into your scalp without leaving any residue. Consider me impressed.
Since using them over the past month, I haven’t noticed any additional hair loss and will continue to keep an eye out.
According to the brand, the two to three month mark is where you’re most likely to see a noticeable change.
Bondi Boost Hair Growth Shampoo and Conditioner

What it promises: This sulphate-free shampoo gently cleanses while targeting signs of thinning and shedding.
My Bondi Boost Hair Growth Shampoo Review:
There’s usually two things I look for in a shampoo: a satisfying lather and a good scent. This shampoo does both.
One of the first things I noticed is that it has a botanical scent with notes of peppermint that smells like an expensive spa. Not only does it smell great, but peppermint also has a light cooling sensation on the scalp that feels soothing. The inclusion of Rosemary helps stimulate the scalp, along with plant-based Redensyl® and Procapil®
All I know is that despite being sulfate-free, the product lathers well and leaves both my hair and scalp feeling clean and fresh.
What it promises: Lightweight but seriously hydrating, our aloe-based, silicone-free HG Conditioner will boost hydration while fighting signs of thinning, shedding and hair loss.
My Bondi Boost Hair Growth Conditioner Review: This conditioner does what it says on the label: it’s lightweight and hydrating and pairs well with the HG Anti-Thinning Shampoo. If you’re someone who likes to buy your shampoo and conditioner as a pair (who doesn’t?) this product is an easy addition to your routine.
Bondi Boost Intensive Growth Spray

What it promises: A clean, intensive treatment mist for hair that won’t seem to grow. Powered by plant-based Redensyl® to reduce shedding and promote stronger, fuller-looking strands.
My Bondi Boost Intensive Growth Spray Review:
I started using this spray after the hormonal shedding stage of my postpartum hair loss had ended and my hair was ready to regrow. I didn’t want to use it while I was in the thick of the hair loss. Instead, I wanted to use a product to support my scalp health once my hair was naturally starting to grow back.
For the better part of a month, I have been applying this spray in the morning and focusing on the areas where I lost the most hair – around my hair line and above my ears. Since my hair started sprouting back near my ears, I’ve essentially been rocking side burns, which is a new look for me.
Final Thoughts...
While I don’t love my side burns, my hair has been growing (exciting!) and feels healthy and strong. I’m not sure what I can attribute to the Intensive Scalp Spray or the entire HG range, but I am happy to report that my regrowth is blending in more and more each week.
