My Sunday Reset Routine Featuring Home Essentials From Recently-Launched ECOYA

As a Kiwi, this brand has been a part of my life for years. What I thought was an iconic piece of Kiwiana turns out to be another example of the great things that happen when Aussies and Kiwis come together.
I often turn to ECOYA for the very latest in the space of home fragrance.
In my mind, they were the first to do glamorous car diffusers, they upped the ante on the plug-in diffuser and the scent stones for the wardrobe that they periodically release are wonderful.
But what you didn’t probably know is ECOYA has a huge kitchen and laundry collection, bringing amazing scents to some of the more mundane parts of life.
So when I thought about writing this Beauty IQ, I figured it best to put it to the proper test.
So follow me as I go through my 'Sunday Reset', with a little help from our friends at ECOYA.
My Sunday Reset Routine.
Step 1. Bedroom.
First up, making the bed!
An arduous task at the best of times, but we all live for clean sheets at night and the smell of freshly laundered linen.
The Laundry collection comprises three products: Linen Spray, Laundry Liquid and the infamous Dryer Balls.
They each feature a wild sage and citrus scent, infusing fragrance into every step of the laundry process, building a subtle aroma.
This is a good time to note, it is a subtle aroma.
You may have an instant reaction to scented laundry products with an overpowering aroma - I haven’t experienced this. Instead, that occasional “that’s a good smell” as you walk into the room.
The ECOYA Wild Sage & Citrus Linen Spray 300ml is designed to be used while you iron or between washes as a general mist over your sheets and towels.
This super fine mist adds a layer of scent to keep the sheets smelling fresh. It’s a product I keep by the bed and spray before I get into bed which certainly has built a relaxing and calming moment into my pre-sleep rituals.
During my Sunday reset, I spray each layer of my sheets as I put them on the bed.
Some good things to know:
- The mist is super fine - no massive drops of the juice onto the sheets.
- It doesn’t seem to stain - my first instinct was that a fragrance linen spray would, but no reports here.
- Seems to be okay with sensitive skin - I didn’t notice any reactions or rashes on my sensitive skin.
Step 2. Laundry.
The ECOYA Wild Sage & Citrus Laundry Liquid 1L in its stunning packaging brings a little joy to the awful task of loading the washing machine.
In the same way that you might apply a scented body lotion to your skin before applying your fragrance to layer the scent, the fragranced Laundry Liquid provides the same benefits.
The ECOYA Wild Sage & Citrus Dryer Ball Set continues that journey not just giving a fragrance to your sheets or towels, but also improving the drying process.
Made from 100% New Zealand wool, these dryer balls help prevent fabric bunching, improve airflow, and reduce drying time.
Simple to use, each set comes as a set of three balls with a bottle of scent. For each wash, apply six drops to each ball and add them to the wash.
Some good things to know:
- The Laundry Liquid did clean clothes well - I tested it on both just sheets and clothes and found it performed as a cleaner as well as a scent adder.
- It can be used in top loaders and front loaders. Again, it didn’t seem to irritate my skin as I thought it could.
- I was fairly liberal with the amount of scented liquid I added to the Dryer Ball Set to ensure the scent conveyed.
- Do dryer balls actually work? I certainly noticed that the dryer balls sped up drying time and stopped my sheets from bunching - as the notes suggest.
This set has quickly risen to the top of my gifting list. Relatively inexpensive for the amount of product you’re getting, these make gorgeous gifts that look stunning on the shelf.

Step 3. Kitchen.
Moving to the kitchen, the scented goodness doesn’t stop.
Practical yet such a vibe is the only way I can sum this up.
I get it, this is not your grocery-bought dishwashing liquid, but it’s so much more than just a cleaning product.
The ECOYA Tahitian Lime & Grapefruit Surface Spray 450ml and ECOYA Tahitian Lime & Grapefruit Dish Liquid 550ml are a perfect pair.
Not usually one for leaving my products on the kitchen bench, but these two are too stunning to not.
Their chic grey packaging with the gentle grapefruit tones on the bottle is such a vibe.
The performance of both of these was right up there with your grocery staples. I tested both over a few nights of homemade bolognese, chicken stir fries and even baking, with all passing the test of delivering a clean result.
The Surface Spray is a divine alternative to the Ajax you might usually reach for, with an aroma that literally fills the room.
