Looking for perfume recs on marshmallow, ice cream, sweet-smelling scents? I'm your gal.
As a fragrance aficionado, for me, the sweeter the scent, the better.
Keep people guessing... Am I a human or a sweet treat? Who knows.
With summer in the midst, what better time to jump on the sweet-scented train?
Working at Adore Beauty, I'm very lucky to be able to sniff a whole host of different scents (mainly in our famous fragrance room) so I thought I'd share five of my favourite, and in my humble opinion, the best sweet and vanilla fragrances.
First stop...
1. Kayali Eden Sparkling Lychee.

This joyful scent reminds me of lemonade icy poles, sweet spritzes on a sunny rooftop... sugary, musky, lemonade, lychee goodness in a bottle.
Consensus in the office is that it brings instant happiness… I was renowned for looking forward to a morning office spritz with the tester each day until it was available to purchase.
Beautiful scent for yourself or as a gift for a loved one.
This has to be *the* scent of the summer season... But I'll be wearing it all year 'round.
Notes:
Head: Blackcurrant, lychee, lemon and red apple.
Heart: Rose Damascena, candied violet and jasmine sambac.
Base: Sugared amber, cedarwood, musk, vanilla absolute andsandalwood.
2. Juliette Has a Gun Vanilla Vibes EDP.
Another fave in the AB office, this fragrance feels like the perfect ‘true vanilla’ fragrance that is not an over-the-top sweet scent but more of a soft, subtle vanilla.
Gives off ‘clean girl’ vibes reminding me of fresh daisies and crisp clean sheets.
The perfect scent for a day in the office or to wear to breakfast with your besties.
The bottle itself reminds me of a day at the beach with the brand itself stating the scent is a hymn to adventure and freedom. Enjoy the trip!
Notes:
Head: Salt.
Heart: Vanilla and orchid.
Base: Sandalwood, tonka bean, musk and benzoin.
3. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb.

Flowerbomb is a long-time love for me having used it on and off since I was 18, it's my longest relationship.
A sensual mix of velvety amber, florals and vanilla in the best way it feels super feminine and fun.
I also find this scent to have lasting staying powers, leaving a lingering sweet scent throughout the day/evening.
The bottle is also a gorgeous design, making a nice addition to your vanity table.
Notes:
Head: tea, osmanthus and bergamot.
Heart: Sambac jasmine, freesia and centifolia rose.
Base: Patchouli, vanilla and amber.
4. Glasshouse Fragrances A TAHAA AFFAIR.

Admittedly, I love the sweet vanilla/caramel scent of Tahaa so much that I fell into the TikTok trend of having a mini-sized candle in my car so I could enjoy the scent at all times.
It promises to leave you smelling like a more sophisticated version of a jersey caramel lolly, in the best way.
Needless to say, this travel-sized fragrance of this caramel goodness feels like an easier way to carry the scent on the go with me than a candle in my car……(and safer).
Notes:
Head: Sweet sugar cane, coconut water and sea salt.
Heart: Jasmine sambac, vanilla orchid, Polynesian hibiscus and Tahitian foliage.
Base: Caramel butterscotch, black amber, sun-dried driftwood and cedarwood.
5. Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium.

Espresso martini meets musk sticks... What a dream!
This rich vanilla and musky scent has subtle hints of lingering coffee and its richness makes for a heavenly date night scent.
Be prepared for lots of compliments with this one, wear at your own risk.
Notes:
Head: Coffee and pink pepper.
Heart: Pear, jasmine and orange blossom.
Base: Vanilla, coffee, cedar and patchouli.
