If you’re a make up wearer, I’m sure
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Water Cleanser 500ml will be a product you’ve heard of.
The cult favourite melts off your makeup, and on nights when you absolutely can’t be stuffed, it’s basically your whole cleansing routine.
Don’t lie. I know you’ve been there.
What if I told you Bioderma has just launched a new micellar water makeup remover specifically for the eyes?
I can tell you now, I’m fricken hyped.
Lash extensions have always been my thing.
As a lash technician, I do them for my clients and I usually wear them myself.
But recently, I decided to give my bank account a break and reverted back to relying on mascara...
It takes about 10 coats of mascara to even make my puny lashes visible. And yeah,it's an absolute pain in the rear to remove.
I've never met an eye makeup remover I've liked.
I despise the oily feeling traditional eye makeup removers tend to leave on my eyelids (and eye balls), and many leave my eyes looking and feeling sensitive and irritated.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Eye Bi-phase Micellar Waterproof Makeup Remover 125ml promises to remove even the most stubborn mascara - plus waterproof makeup and long-wearing lipsticks - while strengthening skin and lashes at the same time.
Sounds too good to be true, so I was automatically skeptical.

What Is the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Eye Bi-phase Makeup Remover?
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Eye Bi-phase Micellar Waterproof Makeup Remover 125ml is a rinse-free formula that uses micellar water to lift make up from the skin.
This new bi-phase (two-part) makeup remover is formulated to effortlessly melt away stubborn eye and lip makeup, no rubbing required.
Oh, and like skin care, it's good for your skin and lashes, too!
Here are some fast facts about the Bioderma eye makeup remover:
Bi-phase rinse-free formula is part-micellar water, part oily phase.
Removes heavy duty makeup with ease, and effective in removing 97% of waterproof makeup.
Suitable for those who wear contacts, fragrance-free, and great for those with sensitive skin or easily irritated eyes.
Formulated with skin-softening and protecting vitamin B5 to soothe and hydrate skin, and strengthen your lashes.
Claims to not leave an oily residue on the skin like traditional makeup removers.
How to Use the Bioderma Eye Makeup Remover.

Look, it's pretty darn easy.
Shake the bottle well to combine the aqueous and oily phases.
You'll know it's ready when the formula is a light creamy blue instead of looking like two separate colours.
Apply the product to a cotton pad or reusable makeup pad, and gently press and hold against the desired area for a few seconds.
This gives the clever formula a moment to break down the stubborn makeup underneath.
Wipe away and repeat until your makeup has completely removed.
That’s all folks. No need to rinse off.

My Bioderma Eye Makeup Remover Review.
Let's get into my Bioderma eye makeup remover review.
One thing I’ve always appreciated about Bioderma is the consistent, trustworthy, sturdy packaging.
The Bioderma eye makeup remover features the same easy-to-use dispenser as the
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Water Cleanser 250ml with a lid that clicks to ensure no product leakage.

I love how the formula is very water-like and cooling when applied. It leaves my eyelids feeling soothed and hydrated instead of red and raw.
The true test: Did it remove my mascara and
signature winged eyeliner?
The Bioderma makeup remover took off my eyeliner pretty well with hardly any work.
My aforementioned 10 layers of mascara needed a bit more pressure.
I'm talking a shimmy and a couple wipes, through. Nowhere near as much rubbing as usual.
Here's a little before and after comparison of my eye area before and immediately after using the Bioderma makeup remover to take off my makeup.

As you can see, my eyes actually look happy.
Not shiny, or greasy, or dehydrated and irritated. Just hella happy.
The way the product leaves the delicate skin around the eyes feeling is something I haven't experienced from an eye makeup remover before.
Plus, eye makeup removers smearing product all over my face is another pet-peeve of mine. Thank goodness this product doesn’t do that.
A note for my lash extension wearers: This remover is a good option for the eye area, but don't apply it directly onto your lashes.
You can use this product on your lids to remove shadow and eyeliner, but avoid the lash extension as best as you can because the oily phase may tamper with the lash glue.
Final Verdict…

Now that mascara is part of my daily makeup routine, the Bioderma eye makeup remover has made this lazy gal’s life so much easier.
The product does exactly what it says it will, and gets the job done.
If your eyes get quite sensitive during the makeup removal process, or you dread the whole greasy, smeary mess of it, might I suggest adding this product to cart?
