Like a lot of people with *cough* maturing skin, I need to incorporate vitamin c into my skincare routine. The problem is that the weird, "meaty" smell of a lot of vitamin c serums drives me crazy. This is a perfect compromise for me and doesn't irritate my skin at all (although it might for people will more sensitive skin). I also find this powdered cleanser to be the most effective cleanser of Clinique's whole range, even without the vitamin c.
